New York, NY – September 9, 2009 – BeamPines, Inc., a global human resources consulting firm headquartered in New York City, is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Colford as Senior Vice President, Consulting Services.
“Peter has a unique talent for identifying the needs of clients and finding solutions that work,” says Jonathan Santamaria, President and CEO of BeamPines. “His extensive industry experience and forward thinking style help him understand the global market in human capital as it is rapidly changing. We are happy to have him join our team, and excited about what he can accomplish especially with our unique ‘Career Transition Counseling on line’ (CTC Online™) offering.”
Peter has devoted his career to listening and consulting with major organizations as they searched for employee benefit, human capital and transportation solutions to assist their organizations, their employees and their customers. In addition to leading global human capital consulting firms, Peter has worked with WebMD Health Services, AdvancePCS, Medco Containment Services, Merck-Medco Managed Care, Thrift Drug and United States Lines. He recently completed a one-year term on the New Jersey Nets Fan Advisory Board.
Recognizing clients’ current economic challenges, his initial focus will be on driving change in the outplacement industry to help both companies and individuals maximize the benefits of their career transition programs. According to Peter: “We are in a period of unprecedented demand for meaningful programs to help individuals in various stages of career transition. As the Wall Street Journal highlighted in its recent cover article, the traditional formula for outplacement is not valid in today’s market. Unlike traditional or recently launched outplacement alternatives, CTC Online™ is more than technology as it maintains a connection to the individual through one-on-one coaching, a core competency of BeamPines. We see these components, coaching and technology, as key to an individual’s successful transition in today’s fiercely competitive job market.”
Peter is a resident of Mendham, New Jersey and a graduate of St. Peter’s Prep (Jersey City, NJ) and Providence College (Providence, Rhode Island).
