As a human resources consultant and executive coach, Marilyn works with executives at all levels of business. Her skills enable her to work on strategic as well as tactical business opportunities and her creativity and innovation allows her to suggest new and different ways to approach solutions. She has the ability to build trust quickly with leaders, teams and individuals, creating a positive atmosphere of confidence and collaboration in reaching human business solutions.

Her consulting practice is strongly grounded by her background in business and human resources. Marilyn previously served as Vice President Senior Learning and Development Strategist, Dean of the Finance College, Human Resources Leader at Wachovia Corporation NA, Owner, Alexandre Productions Inc., Vice President, Human Resources Executive Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A.; Director, Affirmative Action American Broadcasting Companies (Disney), N.A.; Personnel Director, Gimbels East. Her hands-on business experience includes supporting businesses and divisions such as Corporate Finance (as well as enterprise wide Finance), Internal Audit, Legal, Risk and Compliance, Operations and Technology and Retail sales.

With more than 25 years of experience in business and human resources, Marilyn has applied expertise in the areas of organizational development and realignment, change management, leadership development and talent identification. She has extensive experience in areas involving business unit reorganization and implementation, business performance solutions, diversity and multi-cultural strategies, business process reengineering and off-shoring, mergers and acquisitions, assessment and recruitment, and training including curriculum and instructional design. Marilyn has effectively applied these skills both domestically and internationally (Europe, Asia, Central and South America and the Caribbean) including such industries as financial services, publishing, entertainment and retail manufacturing.

Marilyn is completing her thesis work which will earn her a Masters degree in Organizational Development and Change Management from Fielding Graduate University. She has an undergraduate degree from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Education and is a member of the Carolinas Organizational Development Network, the American Society in Training and Development and the International Coaching Federation. She is certified in Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Workplace Big 5, and the Center for Creative Leadership’s Benchmark Leadership Assessments.

She is a board member of the Arc of Mecklenburg County and heads their fund raising efforts. She is a marketing committee member of the McColl School of Visual Arts and serves on several church committees. Her interests include American Musical Theatre, classical music, creative writing and physical fitness. In a past life Marilyn has been an artist, worked on off Broadway musicals, wrote and edited creative novels for publication, and facilitated training in the Andes’ Mountains. She dreams of one day working with people in Africa and the Philippines.
