Karen is an executive coach and a Career Development strategist. Karen provides one-on-one coaching to managers and senior executives bringing hands-on experience and business acumen to all of her assignments.

Karen draws on her extensive experience in successful Executive Recruiting and Corporate Human Resources careers. Prior to joining BeamPines, Karen was President of Career Dimensions, Ltd an executive recruiting firm she co-founded. There she provided career counseling and placement to candidates and staffing consultation to corporate clients. Karen developed a practice serving a wide variety of functional specialties and a broad distribution of industries.

For more than a decade prior to forming Career Dimensions she held a progression of senior management positions at Citibank and Chase Manhattan. She established and managed corporate-wide recruitment/staffing centers providing service to diverse business segments. Her corporate experience includes leading her organizations through rapid growth periods and major downsizing/restructuring efforts.

Karen customizes her approach to fit the needs of each client. She develops insights that add significant value in helping individuals clarify their unique skills and navigate each phase of a successful career. She assists candidates in identifying attainable personal goals and developing a strategic, business-focused action plan. With her highly attuned coaching and feedback techniques she then helps her clients develop the critical leadership and management skills they need to be effective and achieve their long-range career objectives.

Her in-depth understanding of business operations adds to her ability to identify innovative and pragmatic career alternatives. Her extensive knowledge of the marketplace and placement/recruiting practices makes her invaluable to her clients. In addition, she brings particular expertise in coaching clients around building effective teams, negotiating multiple shifting priorities and networking/relationship management within modern corporate environments. However, it is her unique combination of supportive listening and pragmatic direction that distinguishes her as a coach.

Karen holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from The University of Buffalo. She has completed graduate course work in business administration at New York University and in counseling at Boston University.
